Shipping Information

Orders are shipped via FedEx Ground within the continental United States. Be sure to specify FedEx Ground Commercial or FedEx Ground Residential when choosing your shipping option. FedEx delivery requires a complete street address.

Most orders ship within one to three business days, and you will be notified if an item is temporarily out of stock. For express delivery or for orders to be delivered to Alaska or Hawaii, please contact our shop via telephone at 919-807-7835 or via email at help@ncmuseumofhistoryshop.com.

Shipping and handling charges are based on the subtotal of your order. (For large quantities of certain items, additional shipping charges may apply, but you would be notified before final order processing.) Our shipping charges are as follows:

Billing Information

All proceeds of the Museum Shop support the North Carolina Museum of History, a division of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. Sales are exempt from sales tax under North Carolina GS 105-164-13 (34).

Return Policy

At the N.C. Museum of History Shop, your satisfaction is guaranteed, and any item may be returned for a refund or for an exchange. For proper credit, please include the sales receipt or packing list with all returns. Shipping and gift-wrapping charges are non-refundable. For damaged or defective items, please contact us at

Membership Information

North Carolina Museum of History Associates, Inc., members receive a 10% discount on purchases made in the N.C. Museum of History Shop. (The discount applies to merchandise in our online store and in the shop, although certain exclusions may be in effect at any given time; the exclusions generally would include special consignment pieces and would be denoted as nondiscount items if applicable. Also, the discount does not apply to the purchase of memberships, sale items, or gift certificates, and no discounts apply to shipping fees.)

If you are a current member, please contact the shop before placing your order, and we will give you special instructions so that your discount can be applied to your order.
