The North Carolina Museum of History ornament series was begun in 1983. The series focuses on North Carolina state buildings, symbols, and geographical locations. A new ornament is added each year in November. This series is very collectible, and many North Carolinians display their ornaments throughout the year. The ornaments are made of solid brass and plated in 24-carat gold. The average size of each is approximately 2.5" X 3", and the ornaments are individually boxed.
